How to use our Data Explorer to browse your Onpage SEO data individually

Besides the main SEO KPIs that you can examine in the Oncrawl report, you can run much wider and deeper analysis with the help of our data explorer. Let’s see how.

Access the data explorer in the left menu – to display all the crawled URLs – or by clicking on a dataviz in the report – to see a selected part of the crawl data.

In the above section you will find the quickfilters – a list of predefined filters – and the advanced query builder where you can chose the criteria and combination of criteria (with AND/OR operators) you want to analyze.

By default the quickfilters and the advanced query builder are filtering on the whole crawl data set. If you have reached the data explorer via a dataviz and just want to add a column to this selection, you can use the “add a column” button on the right site above the data table. If you want to add a specific value for a variable, add a field in the advanced query builder.

The quickfilters

In the above example we have used the quickfilter “pages with bad title”. The table will display all pages that have status code 200 ok AND for which the title evaluation says too long OR too short OR not set OR duplicated.

Here’s the list of quickfilters you can use:

If you create your own combination of criteria you can name and safe your filter and it will appear in the quickfilters list so you can use it for your next analysis.

To clear filters click on the red cross on the right side of the criteria you want to erase. To clear all filters click on the very first red cross.

The advanced query builder

With the advanced query builder create your own combination of filter criteria. You can choose and combine the following fields:

Content:

HTML Quality:

Link:

Performance:

SEO:

Structure:

URL:

Depending on the type of variable you choose in a list of operators:

String:

Number:

Bool:

For some variables you can choose in a list of values (like for canonicals: matching, not matching and not set) or you type the value you want – number or string.

In the example above we are looking for meta titles that are unique but too short (under 40 characters).

resultstable

The results table will show you the list of URLs with its inrank, depth, meta robots, canonical and all the variable filters you have chosen – combine as many variables as you want to see exactly the URLs you need.
